AVU-8.22.05 FIRST PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO AVISTA CORPORATION The Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, by and through its attorney of record, Chris Burdin, Deputy Attorney General, requests that Avista Corporation provide the following documents and information as soon as possible, but no later than MONDAY, MAY 212022. This Production Request is to be considered as continuing, and Avista Corporation is requested to provide, by way of supplementary responses, additional documents that it, or any person acting on its behalf, may later obtain that will augment the documents or information produced. Please provide answers to each question, supporting workpapers that provide detail or are the source of information used in calculations, and the name, job title, and telephone number of the person preparing the documents. Please also identiff the name, job title, location, and telephone number of the record holder. REQUEST NO. 1: Please provide the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, Producer Price Index, for thermoplastic resins from 2015 through to the current period, monthly if available. REQUEST NO.2: Please provide workpapers in electronic format with links intact and formulae enabled that support the table of values shown on page 4 of the Application. REQUEST NO.3: Please provide documentation supporting the claim that higher resin costs are attributed to: (l) higher demand than manufacturers can supply; and (2) that manufacturers located along the Texas gulf coast were taken offline one or more months due to hurricanes and storms affecting the supply of resin in the market.
