Within a given program calendar year, Avista has the ability to purchase RECs vintage plus or minus 6 months on either side of the calendar year. The Company's team monitors the market regularly and receives and solicits bids entertained on behalf of the My Clean Energy program. Purchases are made accordingly. Once purchased, RECs are hansferred in WREGIS approximately 90 days after generation and payment for these purchases is not made until the transfer has been completed. This results in a substantial lag between the 'purchase' period and 'payment' period.
