Comment: "We've reviewed the notice regarding Meadows Water, LLC's request for another
rate increase. According to the filing, the Company is asking for"an additional$15,929.29
per year above our current rate revenue"and a 10.11% increase for all customer classes,
raising residential rates from $57.00 to $62.76 per month.
While the notice states that the increase is intended to cover"two unplanned repairs to the
system"and ongoing operating costs, the system is still not in compliance and continues
to experience outages that directly affect water quality and service reliability.
Just yesterday, another outage caused a depressurization event, leaving some residents
without water entirely. These events are not aesthetic issues—they are operational and
public-health concerns. It is difficult for residents to support a rate increase when the
system does not consistently function, remains out of compliance, and continues to
produce odor, discoloration, and intermittent service loss.
Before any rate increase is considered, we need clear assurance that the system will be
stabilized, compliance restored, and reliable service consistently delivered. Customers
should not be asked to pay more for a system that is not meeting basic operational
standards."
