NEWS RELEASE: Commission Schedules Technical Hearing, Sets Written Comments Deadline for
Electric Utility's Application to Study Distribution of Costs
BOISE (Sept. 17, 2026) — The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has scheduled a technical hearing
and set a written comments deadline for an application submitted by Idaho Power to study the
methodology used to allocate costs among customers and determine the appropriate cost of service for
new large-load customers.
Idaho Power sets electric rates for different groups of customers based on a formal Class Cost of Service
(CCOS)methodology,which is used to guide the allocation of the company's total system costs across
customer groups. The utility serves residential, light commercial, medium to large, heavy industrial,
and irrigation customers.
The Commission is accepting written comments on Idaho Power's application through Dec. 14, 2026.
Comments are required to be filed through the Commission's website or by email unless computer
access is unavailable.To submit comments online,visit puc.idaho.gov and click on the"Case Comment
Form" link on the upper left side of the homepage. Please reference case number IPC-E-26-07 when
submitting comments.
Comments submitted by email should be sent to the email addresses listed below. Commenters must
include their name, address and case number IPC-E-26-07. If computer access is unavailable,
comments may be mailed to the addresses listed below and must include the commenter's name,
address, and case number IPC-E-26-07 in the correspondence.

The technical hearing will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2027, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If necessary,
it will continue on Wednesday, Jan. 20, and Thursday, Jan. 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
It will be held at the Commission's offices, 11331 W. Chinden Boulevard, Building 8, Suite 201-A,
Boise, ID 83714. The hearing is an opportunity for parties to the case to present witnesses, testimony,
and exhibits.
