SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF PLATINUM EQUITY CAPITAL PARTNERS IV,
LP'S NOTICE REGARDING THE PLANNED TRANSFER OF INDIRECT
CONTROL OF SECURUS TECHNOLOGIES, LLC TO SCRS
INTERMEDIATE HOLDING CORPORATION; CASE NO. EVE-T-25-01.
On May 15, 2026, Platinum Equity Capital Partners IV, L.P. ("PECP"), the indirect
majority interest holder of Securus Technologies, LLC ("Securus"), filed with the Idaho Public
Utilities Commission ("Commission") a Notice ("Notice") of the planned transfer of indirect
control of Securus to SCRS Intermediate Holding Corporation("SCRS").
STAFF ANALYSIS
Commission Staff ("Staff') reviewed the Notice. Securus is on record with the
Commission as interexchange carrier in Idaho. In the Notice, PECP stated that it planned to
transfer ultimate indirect control of Securus to SCRS at the end of the third quarter of 2026. PECP
is not requesting a name change for Securus or anticipating a change with the telecommunication
services it is providing to its Idaho customers.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission acknowledge PECP's Notice of a planned transfer
of indirect control.
