Comment: "DENY AVISTA rate increases.
My first house cost 65,000 at 14% Interest. Imagine if payments were at that rate today. I'm
complaining about AVISTA and their 6.4% hike in rates AGAIN and ALREADY. It's only been
about 4-5 years since AVISTA gained 17%. Now imagine, at my age 72, watching AVISTA
keep 'reeling in' usurious enrichment at the high dollar figures. Seems there HAD TO HAVE
BEEN SUCCESSFUL PUSHBACK against these hikes or we would still be showing 14%
Mortgages. We have much more energy available than 4-5 years ago and Hydro-electric
here in the NW.
ALSO: AVISTA's new Line Item "State of Idaho Usage Tax", now shown on our monthly bills,
is really AVIASTA's Property Tax put onto Power consumers. Another'leak in the dyke:And
definitely DENY any more BASE RATE increases. It's just plain theivory."
