Comment: "I am responding to the requested proposed rate increase by Schweitzer Basin
Water LLC. I understand costs have gone up over the past 14 years. I am retired and am on
a fixed income. Absorbing a 134% increase in our monthly expenses for water is very high.
Please consider increasing the rate to something more reasonable (like 50%). It would be
better to request a rate increase more often to allow smaller increments for the
community.Thank you for your consideration. "

As president of Blue beetle Building#2 Condominium Association, Inc., on behalf of the
members were object to the rate increase.
1.)Without an audit of the financial statement we cannot tell if the expenses of the
applicant are correct. For instance, the amount listed as expenses for transportation. The
owner of the applicant has a residence near the physical water system, although he has
more than one residence. That is why the transportation expense seems excessive.
It is not clear what is being rented by the applicant and this should explained by the
applicant so an a analysis of his actual expenses can be determined.
The amount seems excessive.
2.)The rate increase does not differentiate between residences that have one bathroom or
more than one. The residences with only one bathroom should have a lower rate than
those residences which have two or more bath rooms.Typically residences with more than
one bathroom will have more people residing and will have greater water usage.
Therefore the commission should request more detailed information for transportation
expenses and more detailed information for rental expenses.
