Subject:Notice of Probable Violation,Report#L202602—Lower Valley Energy
Dear Mr.Brooks:
Here is the response to the probable violations identified during the Field Inspection of Lower Valley Energy's Idaho
natural gas facilities,conducted July 14,2026(Report#L202602).
Probable Violation(s):
1.Line markers were not placed as close as practical over each buried main and transmission line as
required(49 CFR§ 192.707).
2.No atmospheric corrosion protection was in place on the above-ground sections of pipeline at the
Williams tap in Montpelier,Idaho(49 CFR§ 192.479/§ 192.481).
Response:LVE recognizes each probable violation.
1.LVE had line markers on order for nearly six months and has just received them.We will be installing
the markers as close as practical over the Crow Creek transmission line next month,in conjunction with our
scheduled leak survey.
2.LVE has put the corrosion protection work at the Williams tap out for bid and will complete cleaning
and coating of the exposed above-ground pipeline along with all other insulation items once the bids come
back and we get the crew scheduled. We expect this to be done in September.
