NEWS RELEASE: Commission Sets Written Comments Deadline for Nampa Water Utility's Rate
Increase Application
BOISE(Aug. 13,2026)—The Idaho Public Utilities Commission is accepting written comments through
early December on an application submitted by Southshore 2 Water Company, LLC seeking approval to
increase the rates it charges for service.The utility said the requested rate increase is necessary to recover
current costs associated with operations, maintenance, administration, customer accounting and other
expenses.
Southshore 2 Water owns and operates a water system in Nampa that serves 15 residential customers in
Southshore Subdivision No.2.The utility is requesting Commission approval to increase its flat monthly
rate from$95.00 to $195.00 per customer.
Written comments on the application will be accepted through Thursday, Dec. 3, 2026. Comments are
required to be filed through the Commission's website or by email unless computer access is unavailable.
To submit comments online, visit puc.idaho.gov and click on the "Case Comment Form" link on the
upper left side of the homepage. Please reference case number SSW-W-26-02 when submitting
comments.
Comments submitted by email should be sent to the email addresses listed below. Commenters must
include their name, address and Case No. SSW-W-26-02. If computer access is unavailable, comments
may be mailed to the addresses listed below and must include the commenter's name, address and case
number SSW-W-26-02 in correspondence.
