Approval of asset transfer agreements requires the acquiring utility to compensate the serving utility for lost revenues and for the distribution infrastructure used to provide service to the customer. Distribution infrastructure can include poles, wires, crossarms, insulators and cables. The Commission issued an order approving the transfer agreement on Aug. 11,2026.It determined that the transfer of the customer promotes the public interest, provides fair compensation for the transferred assets without increasing rates for existing customers, and ensures the customer will continue to receive reliable electric service from the city.
