Inspection Summary
IGC Pocatello Field Audit
Audit consisted of IPUC inspectors Brooks and Green inspecting field installed equipment for the
Pocatello, Idaho inspection unit. The PHMSA IA question set and Intermountain Gas Company(IGC)
equipment listing were used as a guide throughout the audit to ensure all areas were completed

Inspectors traveled to and met with IGC company representatives at the Pocatello District Office for an in-
brief, reviewed OQ records for all personnel and began the field audit.
Regulator Stations: 19 regulator stations were inspected for proper operation, regulator lock-up, relief
device operation, cathodic protection pipe-to-soil readings, pipe-to soil interface wrap protection, station
warning signs and right-of-way clearances.
13 casing-to-carrier isolation checks, 6 cathodic protection rectifiers, 13 pipeline patrols, 26
emergency/isolation valves and 19 HPSSs were inspected, observations listed below.
July 8, 2026: (1.0 Standard JB) (1.0 Standard AG)
Completed inspection on field assets. An exit interview was performed following the district inspection
with field personnel of Intermountain Gas Company. Brooks and Green returned to Boise PUC office.
July 9, 2026: (1.0 Standard AG) (1.0 Standard JB)
Completed and attached audit forms. Wrote NOPV 1202609
Discrepancies:
• 48725-RS-60058 Primary regulator failed due to a damaged seat. The station was relieving at 59psi
when inspectors and IGC personnel arrived on site.
• 48725-CA-1115928 Casing is shorted, the cause was not identified during the inspection.
• 5 Leaking HPSS identified. 48725-HPSS-66747, 48725-HPSS-66998, 48725-HPSS-67025, 48725-
HPSS-66992, and HPSS located at 9 S Thompson Ln.
