NEWS RELEASE: Electric Utility Files Application with Commission Seeking Approval of
Land Sale
BOISE (July 13, 2026)—Idaho Power has filed an application with the Idaho Public Utilities
Commission seeking approval to sell approximately 0.6 acres of land in Boise to a buyer who is
leasing it for a parking area.
The utility is proposing to sell the land to the buyer for$100,470 while reserving a powerline
easement over the property. The proposed sale would release Idaho Power from the
responsibility of owning and maintaining the land while allowing the utility to use the land for its
intended purpose under the easement.
The Commission has filed a deadline for written comments and scheduled a customer hearing on
the proposed sale. Written comments are being accepted through Monday,Aug. 3, 2026.
Comments must be filed through the Commission's website or by email unless computer access
is not available. To submit comments through the website, visit puc.idaho.gov and click on the
"Case Comment Form"link on the upper left side of the page. Please use case number IPC-E-26-
17 when filling out the form. Comments submitted through email should be sent to the email
addresses listed below. Commenters are required to include their name, address and case number
IPC-E-26-17. If computer access is not available, comments may be mailed to the addresses
listed below and must include the commenter's name, address and case number IPC-E-26-17 in
correspondence.

The Commission will hold a customer hearing to take testimony for the record on Tuesday,Aug.
4, 2026. It will begin at 11:00 a.m. (MDT) and conclude at 11:30 a.m. or after all customer
testimony has been taken, whichever comes first. Those interested in submitting testimony or
listening to the hearing can call 1-208-985-2810 and enter conference number 433 809 590#
when prompted. Those planning on testifying are encouraged to start calling in to the hearing at
approximately 10:50 a.m.
