PreliminaryProject Summary�
Avista formed a team of subject matter experts familiar with transmission line
design, environmental review, permitting, public process information, and ROW _
acquisition.
Several routes were identified and through extensive evaluation of many factors
as well as minimizing impact to the surrounding area, this preliminary route was
selected. With feedback from you during the public process, Avista will determine
the final route.
Growth of the region has left very little transmission capacity to support
continued growth or emergency situations.
Other advantages include:
Increased reliability for customers
Increased flexibility to deliver energy and reserve capacity
Provide a back-up resource to shift electrical loads when there is an
outage, equipment failure, etc. which will help restore power more
quickly
Provide capacity to respond to future growth and increasing energy
demands
