Additional Comments:
IPUC staff traveled to CDA to observe construction in Kellogg, Idaho, on 31 May 2026.
Job Description: Install new PE transition and replace (AA)Aldy-A with approximately 545' +/- 2" PE
main and abandon existing AA Pipe. Asphalt cut, permit. Pictures of job site, progress are attached to file.
Observations include: Safety equipment, JSA, material verification, line locating, stringing pipe, verified
operator qualifications, missile shot for 2"pipe under road, excavating, correct trench depth, electro fusing,
lyco fitting and butt fusing 4" & 2"PE, inserting 4"pipe into 6" lined casing within bridge wall and
reinforcing pipe ends on pipe sleeve for backfill/concrete, tracer wire, bedding/backfilling of 545' of 4"
main. All observed procedures were followed in accordance with Avista procedures
IPUC staff traveled back to Boise, Idaho, and completed all paperwork on 5 June 2026.
