Idaho Power is proposing to build the South Hills Power Plant in Twin Falls County and the Peregrine Power Plant in Elmore County. The South Hills plant is designed to provide 222 megawatts of electricity. The utility plans to begin commercial operation of the plant on June 1, 2029. The Peregrine plant is planned to be built in Elmore County and is designed to provide 430 megawatts of electricity. Commercial operation of the plant is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2030.
