This application is being submitted for Commission determination that the broadband equipment installed for 2022 meets the definition of qualified broadband equipment as found in Idaho code 63-30291. Identify the area or location where the equipment is installed in Idaho: Please refer to Exhibit 1, which describes CenturyTel of Idaho, Inc.'s qualified broadband equipment and contains the information and representation required by this Commission. The list of installed equipment is necessary to the provisioning of broadband service and an integral part of the broadband network. Various forms of DSL-based equipment are used (ADSL&VDSL in various vintages). Transport is a mix of fiber optic and metallic cable, which is typically also supporting traditional telephony services. Equipment terminals are located in Central Office buildings, remote buildings and in cabinets on concrete pads each serving a neighborhood. 4. Provide the lowest transmission rate offered to customers, in bits per second,that subscribers to the relevant broadband network can receive and send (download and upload):The lowest transmission rate offered to customers is 500,000 bits per second for downloads and 250,000 bits per second for uploads. 5. Provide a specific list of equipment types that the application is requesting the Commission to determine is "qualified broadband equipment"as defined in Idaho Code Section 63-30291: Refer to Exhibit 1 of this application for a listing of installed equipment, cost, brand, manufacturer, and model numbers for year 2022. 6. Installation dates: Please refer to Exhibit 1 for the year 2022. 7. Percentage and number of potential subscribers: Please refer to Exhibit 3 for the year 2022. CenturyTel of Idaho, Inc. has reviewed the applicable statutes for the Broadband Investment Income Tax Credit. CenturyTel of Idaho, Inc. also believes that the broadband equipment included within Exhibit 1 qualifies for the tax credit under Section 63-30291 of the Idaho Code. CenturyTel of Idaho, Inc. has also updated all of the part numbers as requested by the Commission. CenturyTel of Idaho, Inc. does not believe that the public interest requires a hearing on this matter, and therefore requests that the Commission approve the Application by Minute Order or under Modified Procedure. In the event the Commission determines that further proceedings are necessary,Applicant stands ready for immediate hearings. WHEREFORE, CenturyTel of Idaho, Inc. requests that the Commission issue its order determining that the installed equipment in Exhibit 1 constitutes qualified broadband equipment eligible for the investment tax credit authorized by Section 63-20391, Idaho Code.
