On March 26, 2026, Intermountain Gas Company ("Company") submitted to the Idaho
Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") Tariff Advice No. INT-TAG-26-01 to revise Rate
Schedule FT (Franchise Fee/Tax Adjustment), Sheet No. 15 ("Application"), to reflect new
franchise fee ordinance numbers in several jurisdictions it serves. Application at 1. The ordinance
numbers are being updated, but the existing franchise fee remains unchanged. Id. Nine franchise
fee agreements have been replaced with new agreements. Id. at 4. The agreements continue to
impose the existing franchise fee from the sale of natural gas within the corporate limits of each
respective city, and all the agreements will remain in effect unless amended in the manner set forth
by the terms of the ordinance.
At the Commission's Decision Meeting on April 28, 2026, Commission Staff presented a
Decision Memorandum recommending the Commission accept the Company's proposed revision
to Rate Schedule FT (Franchise Fee/Tax Adjustment), Sheet No. 15 as filed, effective May 1,
2026.
The Commission's Rule of Procedure 134.02 directs that no tariff advice will be effective
unless the public and the Commission have been notified pursuant to applicable sections of Title
61 of the Idaho Code. IDAPA 31.01.01.134.02. Additionally, no tariff advice takes effect on less
than 30 days' notice, "unless the Commission finds good cause to approve the earlier effective
date."Id.
Having reviewed the record and finding that the Company's notice of the proposed tariff
advice meets the requirements of Rule 134.02, the Company's revised tariff is approved, as filed,
effective as of May 1, 2026.
