BOISE (April 16, 2026)—The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has issued an order on an application submitted by Dry Creek Water Company LLC to increase the rates it charges to provide service to customers. The utility serves approximately 700 customers in the Dry Creek Ranch development in Boise. It sought Commission approval to gradually increase the monthly fixed fee and usage fee by 6 percent each year over a three-year period. The average residential monthly bill would have increased from the current $87.79 per month to $104.65 per month in 2028. Dry Creek Water said the increase was needed to offset inflation, pay for rising operation costs, pay for rising maintenance costs, maintain compliance with environmental regulations and prepare for continued growth. The utility is expected to provide service to a total of 1,889 lots at full build-out. In its order issued on April 15, 2026, the Commission approved increases based on the size of customers'meters and the time of year water is being used. The Commission also approved a $430 new hookup charge for 3/4-inch meters and a $580 new hookup charge for 1-inch meters. Additional information is available at: puc.idaho.gov/case/Details/7598.
