Please provide the historical amounts spent for Capital Tools & Stores Equipment (see Table No. 5, Schuh, Di page 19) for the years 2010-2015.

RESPONSE:

The Capital Tools & Stores Equipment Business Cases comprise two expenditure requests (ERs)—ER 7005 and ER 7006. The system-wide historical balances (in total, on an annual basis) of investment transferred to plant in service for these two ERs are as follows:

These balances placed in service are predominantly common assets (common to multiple services or jurisdictions, or both). Therefore, the allocated plant investment placed in service for Idaho Electric service in these years is as follows:

The expected investment included in this case for these two ERs for 2016 and 2017 is approximately $549,000 in each year ($274,000 on an AMA basis for 2017). These expected investment balances are consistent with the actual investment incurred over the previous six years.
Using common plant allocation factors as of December 31, 2015, which are the allocation factors in effect for the allocation of test year common plant in this case.
