Comment: "ID I am opposed to the requested increase to electricity rates. I have
completely replaced the windows in my own home with energy efficient windows. I re-
roofed and reinsulated walls and attic. I installed new doors. I installed new high efficiency
air and heat. All this was done at my own expense. Now you are asking to take more money
out of my pocket to pay for others whom I do not know. That smacks of socialism. That is
not our way. If Avista wants to do that, I am quite sure their profit margins can sustain it. Let
them pay for it. "

Comment: "ID I oppose this increase. Avista's request is unrelated to the cost of providing
power. Instead, it is a naked effort at redistribution of wealth. Socialism! And if approved by
the government of the State of Idaho, it is taxation without representation. It usurps the
power of the legislature by imposing another tax on the people. It is intolerable. "

Comment: "Please deny Avista the 7.7% increase they plan to impose on their customers.
They already raised our rates in 2026 and we should not be penalized because they
underestimated the increase.There's nothing in the way of a counterargument which could
to serve as justification for poor management decisions.

Comment: "Vista's request for a rate increase to offset the cost of any home improvement
program should not be approved. If the program doesn't support the community needs it
doesn't make sense to charge the community more to fund the program thus creating more
drain on the community thus creating more need. It's a self defeating cycle. Do not approve
it. Make them come up with a better program that can be funded more effectively. "
