SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF CAPITOL WATER CORPORATION'S
APPLICATION TO INCREASE ITS RATES AND CHARGES FOR WATER
SERVICE IN THE STATE OF IDAHO; CASE NO. CAP-W-25-02.
On August 14, 2025, Capitol Water Corporation, ("Company") filed an application
("Application") with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") requesting authority
to increase rates and charges for water service in the State of Idaho.
On February 26,2026,the Commission issued Order No. 36948,authorizing a 4.4%increase
to the Company's base tariff rates for water service based on an$859,867 revenue requirement. The
Commission directed the Company to submit tariffs in compliance with the rates and charges
approved in Order No. 36948 within 30 days of the Order.
On March 4, 2026, the Company filed tariffs reflecting the rates approved in Order No.
36948. Commission Staff("Staff') reviewed the Company's tariffs and confirmed the tariffs are
consistent with the Commission's Order.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission approve the tariffs submitted on March 4,2026, as filed.
COMMISSION DECISION
Does the Commission wish to approve the tariffs submitted on March 4, 2026, as filed,with
an effective date of February 26, 2026?
