NEWS RELEASE: Commission schedules online workshop, sets written comments deadline for
northern Idaho water utility's application to increase rates.
BOISE (March 12, 2026) —The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has scheduled an online
workshop and set a written comments deadline for an application submitted by CDS Stoneridge
Utilities, LLC to increase the rates it charges to provide service to customers.
The utility is seeking Commission approval to raise overall revenues by 43 percent. It said the
increase is needed to address system deficiencies identified in a Department of Environmental
Quality sanitary survey and recover lost revenue after one of its customers, the Stoneridge Golf
Course, built its own well and stopped buying water from the utility.
CDS Stoneridge is proposing to raise revenues by increasing monthly customer charges based on
meter size ranging from 3/4"to 6.0".
The online workshop will be held Wednesday, March 18. Commission staff will present an
overview of the utility's application and answer questions.
The workshop will begin at 6:00 p.m. PDT (7:00 p.m. MDT) and conclude at 9:00 p.m. PDT
(10:00 p.m.MDT) or after all customer questions have been answered, whichever comes first.
