COMMISSIONER RAPER: Okay, good evening. Thls
is the time and place set for a public hearing in Case
Nos. AW-E-15-05 and AVU-G-15-01, further identified as
in the matter of the application of Avista Corporation
doing business as Avista Utilities for authority to
increase its rates and charges for electric and natural-
gas service in Idaho.
My name i-s Kristine Raper. I am the Chair of
this evening's proceedings. We al-so have Commissioner
Marsha Smith and President Paul Kjellander and we will
ultimately render a final declsion in this matter. It 1s
7:00 o'clock Mountain time and 6:00 o'clock Pacific time.
Are there any parties to the case that are on the Ilne
that would like to identify themselves?
MR. MEYER: Yes, I would. Thank you. This is
David Meyer with Avista and I'11 just introduce those in
the room. We have KeIIy Norwood, Pat Ehrbar, Casey
Fielder, and Linda Gervais, in addition to myse.l-f, and we
very much appreciate the opportunity to do this by phone.
This al-l,owed us to return to Spokane to attend to some
other business, but, of course, we're interested in any
comments hearing from our customers.

any of the participants in this hearing, but I am
interested in hearing what they have to say. Thank you.
COMMISSIONER RAPER: Thank you, Mr. Meyer, and
as it stands right now, we do not have any peop1e on the
line to testify. We can give it another minute or sor
but if nobody comes on the line, w€ will consider the
record cfosed, adjourn the hearing, and del-iberate on the
matter privately, so why don't we give it, I don't know,
another couple of mlnutes. We'1I mute you from this end
and 1et you know.

COMMISSIONER RAPER: Okay, we will go back on
the record and I inadvertently overlooked allowing the
Commission Staff to make an appearance for purposes of
the record.
MR. KARPEN: Brandon Karpen appearing for
Commission Staff and, Madam Chair, if I may also make a
note that the notice of pub11c hearj-ng did not specify
Mountain Time or Pacific Time and I might ask the
Commission to keep the record open until perhaps tomorrow
afternoon to give customers until that time to contact us
if there's any confusion in the Pacific Time Zone.
