I am and have been a customer of the Bear Claw Water System LLC since 2017. 1 have
been paying a monthly fee of$50.00 for water service. However, during this time I have
never received a bill nor any accounting of how my payment was being used.
Now I understand that the Bear Claw Water System LLC has come under the jurisdiction
of the PUC, and the staff of the PUC is in the process of determining if the water rates are
fair,just, and reasonable. If the staff is using a one year period (October 2024 to September
2025)for which the financial records are available, why aren't they using the records from
when the Bear Claw Water System LLC was formed? I know during that time period of
October 2024 to September 2025 the water system had more expenses than is normal for
the system since it has been in existence, such as a new pump installed in July of 2025, and
a major leak repaired in September of 2025.This cost of repair does not accurately reflect
what has actually been spent on the system, since only minor repairs were needed prior to
2024
Also, the water system is serviced by only one well and there is no redundancy
so when we had the pump replaced in July of 2025 we were without water for five days.Why
hasn't Bear Claw Water System LLC installed a second well after 25 connections were
made to the system. I believe there are now at least 28 connections.
