Comment: "Why is it not required that we have a backup generator to keep our water
pressure working? Why is it not required that we have a backflow preventer that works,
without having to wonder and worry if we have contaminated water? Why is it that we are
being asked to pay an increase for our water use when we have multiple times that we
cannot use it?Why haven't we been issued a refund for not being able to drink our water?
From what I have researched this is not a new problem, this has been going on for years!!
And Meadows Water LLC wants us to pay more, for what? I can tell you it is paying more for
nothing!! This company has not made one attempt to solve this problem.
Sure we get a notice when we have had a power outage, that says DO NOT DRINK. Does
this notice get to us on a timely manner? NO! it does not!! Sometimes it is days after the
power outage, and the only reason we get a notice is to cover someones behind from being
sued if a resident should become sick from drinking contaminated water. Then it is
sometimes days before we get the all clear that we can drink the water again. (Thank God
for our HOA manager who sent out a notice before the Water Company did on this last
power outage that the water was safe to drink).
So again, what is the price increase for? We all know it will not be used to fix the problem it
will only pad someones wallet, and we will continue to only be able to use our water off and
on.
Why can't the Idaho PUC require and make sure the upgrades we need to protect residents
are made? And another subdivision is being considered next door to our subdivision.
What then???"
