Comment: "This the second request for rate increase in recent years. I attended the public
forums during the initial request and numerous residents identified numerous questions
regarding the financial statements that were submitted by the utility. A key concern that
was raised frequently was based on the fact that a number of business, including the
Stoneridge Golf Course and the utility are all owned by the same entity. In looking at some
of the financial documents, many raised the question regarding the potential for financial
gymnastics between the different businesses that are all owned by the same entity.
This request increases that fundamental question. The lost"revenue"from the golf course
was a business decision. The residents that are served by the utility should not be
responsible for the impact of that decision.
I encourage IPUC to evaluate the financials for this case and SWSW2503
