Comment: "We received an email stating that our water utility company has filed for a rate
increase. However, the utility was granted an increase roughly a year ago. The new letter
states they need to upgrade their system, among other things. These issues have been a
problem for CDS Stonerigre water customers for years and were also used to try an force an
increase last year, and nothing has improved with the quality of water. The letter also states
the golf course has drilled its own well, and because of that the utility has lost revenue.This
is again misleading, as the same entity that owns the golf course owns the water utility. This
is a blatant attempt to pass the expense for this on to the customer. I feel that this will be a
continuous issue with CDS Stoneridge utility, as they attempted the same thing last year,
and we can only assume they will continue to try and pass their expenses on to consumers.
I appreciate your attention to this matter. I will be reaching out to other customers and have
them file complaints as well.
