At approximately 1230 hours, Inspector Galli responded to a gas line strike near 73 W Waukesha St,
Meridian, ID, where a bore crew had hit a 2-inch PE gas line. Intermountain Gas crews secured the leak
by squeezing off three upstream points. Twelve homes lost gas service due to the squeeze offs. Once the
release was secure the fire department began venting homes with at least 5% LEL. Galli departed the
scene at 1500 hours.
