I dont believe that residential and small groups and irrigation should get the Largest hikes. Large scale business and ESPECIALLY any data center should bare the burden. They should pay for infrastructure improvements if they want to come here. Once those things are built, there is nothing long term that that helps our state. You must force Large companies to pay. They are making millions, if not billions in profit with record stock market values. They can pay. Additionally? Idaho Power is a monopoly. I have no choice but to stay with the company as there are no other providers. You cannot do this to people. Make big corporations pay. You owe them nothing:' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: Shae Hart Submission Time: Nov 26 2025 7:06AM Email: myndara(@gmaiLcom Telephone: 208-891-0331 Address: 2325 N Yonkers Ln Boise, ID 83704 Name of Utility Company: Idaho Power Case ID: IPC-E-25-16 Comment: "The proposed 9.89% increase in electric cost for residential customers is not something that the average family in Idaho can handle comfortably at this time. Particularly with the potential budget deficits facing the State of Idaho, which Idaho Power's customer base is likely to be forced to pay for, we cannot handle this substantial increase in our power rates, which, by the way, is something we have no choice in.There aren't other options. There is no free market. Additionally, it is unreasonable to expect current customers to subsidize the power needed for the data centers, none of which regular Idahoans approved nor will receive any benefit from. In fact, not only are data centers a 1 massive drain on a power grid, they do not offer any significant employment opportunities. A large portion of your customer base cannot handle this large of a rate increase, especially as we just got a rate increase last year. Thank you for your attention to this matter." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: PUCWeb Notification <Do.Not.Reply@auc.idaho.gov> Sent:Wednesday, November 26, 2025 11:00 AM To: ConsumerComplaintsWeb <ConsumerComplaintsWebC@_puc.idaho.gov> Subject: Notice: A complaint was submitted to PUCWeb Importance: High The following complaint was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: Donald Shaff Submission Time: Nov 26 2025 10:06AM Email: dvshafff25(«boutlook.com Telephone: 208-890-5337 Address: 4552 N Foothill Drive Boise, ID 83703 Name of Utility Company: Idaho Power Contacted Utility: Yes Comment: "The link below describes the growing impact data center industries. The article touches on upgrading substations and transmission lines to handle the load these mostly stand alone power producers impact utilities.) maintain the data center companies bear the entire costs of the nessary utility costs to absorb the imposed costs. Utility rate payers should not have their rates increased to have data centers build in the area of their utility supplier. The Percentage Change is unfair to residential users and blatently is biased toward large power consumers. It is immoral and wrong to put the largest burden of this increase on the smallest and most defenseless users. Hit the largest users hardest, don't punish the average user who doesn't have the ability to defend themselves from the bias of the PUC. Make the biggest users feel the impact of their demand on the system. The proposed increases are inequitable and unfair to residential users:' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3
