Karen Schumacher 2290 Cruisers Loop Blackfoot, ID 83221 1 oppose another rate increase. The demands on the grid are primarily from the new data centers, two of which are being built in Boise and Kuna. These data centers should be required to build their own sources of energy for use and not transfer that cost onto commercial and residential users. Permission to build these centers should be denied unless they can include how they will generate their own energy supply. The stress on Idaho's water supply is also impacted which in turn affects the agricultural sector. Economically, these continued rate increases are damaging. Data centers are not only for the purposes of collecting data on citizens but for other purposes, in which Al is an instrumental part. This is dangerous territory that has not been sufficiently addressed legislatively. Data collected on citizens will not necessarily be used positively, so essentially citizens will be forced to pay for possible negative effects towards them. lam on a fixed income and already struggle with rising costs across the board. Don't make electricity part of that difficulty, transfer the cost to the consumers that are causing the dramatic increase and who have wealth to pay for it, Micron & Meta. As they are a major cause for the massive increase in electrical consumption, they should pay for any rate increase. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: Rudy Salci Submission Time: Nov 13 2025 4:51 PM Email: rudy.salci@gmail.com Telephone: 503-856-6892 Address: 11175 W Troyer Dr Nampa, ID 83686 Name of Utility Company: Idaho Power Case ID: IPC-E-25-16 Comment: "We believe the increase is due to the massive Al building coming nearby that will utilize huge amounts of power. We believe we shouldn't have to be penalized for any company require more power. We in this household are retired with one at 84 years old and 1 both with major mobility problems so unfortunately can't attend the meeting. We hope our thoughts and concerns are conveyed to Idaho Power and the IPUC, Thanks for listening. I think we all need a break from the constant year after year after year increase of millions and millions of dollars by Idaho power every year." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2
