Comment: "I am opposed to the proposed Idaho Power rate increase There are five Data
Centers being built here in our community...Al data centers cause community power bills
to soar because they consume massive amounts of electricity—often equivalent to entire
small cities—and this demand gets passed through the local utility grid, which then raises
rates for everyone on the same grid to cover infrastructure upgrades, new power plants, or
higher wholesale energy purchases.
Adding a 100-500 MW data center (common for large Al training clusters) requires new
substations, transmission lines, and sometimes entire power plants. Utilities fund this via
rate cases approved by state regulators, spreading the cost across all ratepayers
(residential, commercial, small businesses).
I am a struggling 74 year old widow that provides housing for my daughter and 13 year old
granddaughter. She is a hard working single mom with no financial support other than her
wages. Her deadbeat husband left her with extreme debts that I took a second out on my
home to pay off so her wages wouldn't be attached.
My husband died 3 years ago after a lengthy illness in which I provided his in home care up
to the end. We purchased a larger energy efficient home to accommodate my
daughter/granddaughter 6 years ago, and in so doing the electric runs about$120.00 per
month. When my husband died his SSI stopped.
I'm not asking for pity, only sharing this to show how many hardworking citizens of our
community struggle financially without asking for a handout, only understanding.
With the cost of living being so high already a rate increase in our power bill would be
devastating for my family! We don't need more Al data centers in our community, we need
human kindness and consideration!"

Comment: "What does "electric services" entail?Whats changing that warrants such a
Large increase? 13% is ridiculous. We already pay such outrageous prices and have no
choice other than to pay it because Idaho Power is the only company thats in the area. The
price already increased not that long ago, at this point it feels like greed. Myself and many
other Idahoans disprove of this proposed change and are completely against it. We should
not be paying hundreds of dollars per month in power. Its not right! "

Comment: "It seems to me that residential costs are increasing not due to residential
usage, but rather to help cover the costs of the government and commercial increased
demands (which are smaller sectors). Each sector should pay its own costs and not be
subsidized across sectors. Please charge EACH sector accordingly and do not subsidize.

Comment: "I am all for making power saving money as power bills keep going up 17% is not
right at all. I but solar on my house to save money, it's a one to power made know you the
puc let Idaho power steel power from us that spent the money to make. They aren't going
to fix my solar so why do you let take power from us. It is wrong WRONG. WE SHOULD GET
TO KEEP OUR POWER"
