NEWS RELEASE: Commission schedules workshop, customer hearing and sets written
comments deadline for water utility's application to increase rates.
BOISE (Nov. 12, 2025)—The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has scheduled a workshop,
customer hearing and set a written comments deadline for a water utility's application to increase
the rates it charges to provide service to customers.
Dry Creek Water Company, which serves approximately 570 customers in the Dry Creek Ranch
development in Boise, is seeking Commission approval to increase rates over a three-year
period. If the utility's application is approved by the Commission as filed, the average bill for
residential customers would gradually increase from the current amount of$87.79 to $104.65 in
2028.
Dry Creek Water said the rate increase is needed to offset inflation, pay for rising operation
costs, pay for rising maintenance costs and to maintain compliance with environmental
regulations.
