Idaho's population and business activity is expanding, which naturally comes with increased demand on all public utilities. It is not surprising to see that energy costs increase along with Idaho's population. What is surprising is the scale of this latest proposed increase. A 13% increase on the heels of a rate increase in 2024 and decreased solar reimbursements to many households in Idaho endangers the reality that Idaho is an affordable and desirable area. Idaho Power achieved a large increase in net revenue in 2024, while being a reliable provider and good neighbor. They can achieve that again in 2026 and into the future, and they can do that with a modest rate increase instead of a large price hike." Thankyou, Longtime Idahoan and proud neighbor, Micah Sandusky -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: John Segar Submission Time: Oct 23 2025 11:22AM Email: segar.john@gmaiLcom Telephone: 208-424-8461 Address: 3109 s crossfield way boise, Id 83706 Name of Utility Company: Idaho Power Case ID: IPC-E-25-16 Comment: "This proposal/case is not supported bythe evidence. If an increase in rates is warranted, it should be applied equally amongst all classes of users, rather than being 1 borne primarily by residential customers. In addition, Idaho Power has reduced reimbursement rates to residential solar users saying it would reduce overall rates to other users, and now they have reversed course and are claiming they need to raise rates, primarily on residential users, to pay for the additional generating capacity. Please deny this request." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2
