Boise, ID 83720-0074 Edward Lodge, President John R.Hammond,Jr.,Commissioner Dayn Horde,Comm fissioner Case No. IPC-E-25-16 Order No. 36806 Contact: Adam Rush Office: (208) 334-0339 E-mail: adam.rush@puc.idaho.gov NEWS RELEASE: Commission vacates customer hearing and testimony deadlines in electric utility's general rate case. BOISE (Oct. 17, 2025)—The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has vacated a customer hearing and testimony deadlines for an application Idaho Power submitted to increase the rates it charges to provide electric service to customers. The customer hearing and testimony deadlines were vacated in an order the Commission issued on Oct. 17, 2025, to allow parties to the case to work on a proposed settlement. Because the proposed settlement has not been filed, the Commission will not set a deadline for testimony in support of the proposed settlement or a new customer hearing date at this time. The Commission will revisit the procedural schedule for Idaho Power's application at a later date. The customer hearing was scheduled for Oct. 27, 2025, in Twin Falls, Idaho. Testimony deadlines were set for Oct. 17, 2025, and Nov. 14, 2025. Idaho Power submitted an application to the Commission on May 30, 2025, seeking approval of an overall revenue increase of$199.1 million, or 13.09 percent. The utility said the increase is needed to fund energy production and storage resources, grid investments, wildfire resilience, labor and other investments. The average residential customer using 900 kilowatt-hours of electricity per month would see a monthly bill increase of about $21.66 if the application was approved as filed. A proposed settlement, if approved by the Commission, could result in a change to that amount. Additional information on Idaho Power's application is available at: puc.idaho.gov/case/Details/7527.
