Comment: "First I would like to attend the online workshop but I am not available when it is
scheduled.
My comment is that I am extremely upset that the citizens of Idaho are being forced to pay
high rates because of Data Centers that have been given sweetheart deals without our
input or approval(which they would not get in any case). We should not be forced to pay
huge increases in rates - I understand they are asking for upwards of 17% increase in
residential rates -when we are not the ones causing these huge increases in electricity use.
No citizen who understands what is going on would be happy about this. Personally, I am
outraged by this. I remember thinking something like this would happen when I heard
about the huge electricity demand these centers create. I don't think any community
would welcome such a center if they knew what it would do to electricity rates. "
