We have been living in DCR subdivision now for 5 years and we have lived in the Boise area for nearly 27 years total. Sadly we are continually seeing the over-reach of Boise Hunter(Developer, Jim Hunter), between the water fees, to sewer flat fees, to their HOA self established fees. To consider a total water rate hike of 18% in the next 3 years is OUTRAGEOUS! If DCR water is so expensive with both a flat fee & usage fee, why are we paying for this premium dollar filtered water to be used on our lawns and gardens (vast common areas)? In our previous 2 residences here in the Boise & Meridian areas we have had irrigation water available throughout the summer; cutting the home owners cost of paying for filtered city drinking water to water the lawns. And after speaking to some of the homeowners that have been living in the area Dry Creek area long before DCR subdiv was being built they said they have great, natural artesian well water that they use. Why aren't we afforded other less expensive options if this water is indeed naturally available to us? Or at least for our lawns? DCR subdiv is only half complete, which means DCR will double in homes in the next few years. How many water treatment plants is Dry Creek Water Co/Mr. Hunter going to need to build to supply all of DCR with this filtered water? How many'rate increases' are going to be forced on us? Now that DCR water is being regulated, we hope that this will create some sort of protection for the DCR residents from the over-reach and over charge that our developer is trying to institute. Thank you for your time and interest:' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1
