SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF AVISTA CORPORATION'S PROPOSED TARIFF
SCHEDULE 195—OPTIONAL RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS; CASE NO.
AVU-G-25-08.
On August 29, 2025, Avista Corporation dba Avista Utilities ("Company") applied for
authority to revise tariff Schedule 195—Optional Renewable Gas("Schedule 195"). The Company
proposes modifications to the voluntary Renewable Natural Gas ("RNG") program that provides
customers an opportunity to purchase RNG as part of their regular monthly service, which would
increase the therms provided per$5.00 block from 1.5 therms to 2 therms. The Company requests
a January 1, 2026, effective date.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Commission Staff("Staff') recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application
and Notice of Modified Procedure, establishing an October 29, 2025, public comment deadline,
and a November 13, 2025, reply comment deadline.
