Dry Creek Water Company Proposes Phased Rate Adjustment to Support Growing
Community and Maintain Reliable Service
BOISE, ID—Dry Creek Water Company(the "Company") has submitted its rate application
to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (PUC), proposing a staggered rate adjustment to
ensure continued delivery of safe, reliable water service to its growing customer base. The
request reflects the need to align revenues with unprecedented inflation and rising costs of
service, while continuing to prioritize affordability for customers.
The Company is requesting approval of$1,637,275 in annual revenues as part of its first-
ever rate application. To lessen the impact on customers, the Company proposes a gradual
adjustment over three years, similar to a cost-of-living increase. Initially, the average
residential bill would rise by 6% annually, with similar subsequent increases in 2027 and
2028. The table below illustrates the impact on the average monthly residential bill,
currently$87.79, over the three-year implementation period:
Year Monthly Usage Fee (per 1000 Average Monthly
Fixed Fee gallon unit) Bill
Current(2025) $47.50 $2.00 $87.79
Initial(2026) $50.35 $2.12 $93.06
2027 $53.35 $2.25 $98.68
2028 $56.50 $2.39 $104.65
The Company's rate application is available for review at the Company's office located at
923 S. Bridgeway Place in Eagle, Idaho. It is also on file at the PUC offices located at 11331
W. Chinden Blvd., Building 8, Suite 201-A, Boise, ID 83714.You may also view it online at
