This request represents an important milestone for our growing utility, as we seek to align revenues with the actual cost of providing safe, reliable water service now and into the future. What This Would Mean for You To ease the impact on our customers, Dry Creek Water Co. is proposing a phased approach to rate increases, much like cost-of-living adjustments. These modest annual increases are designed to keep pace with inflation and the rising costs of service, while maintaining affordability for our customers. Upon PUC approval, the monthly fixed fee and the usage fee will each increase by 6%, with similar increases following in 2027 and 2028. The table below illustrates the impact on the average monthly residential bill, currently $87.79, over the three-year implementation period: Year Monthly Fixed Usage Fee (per 1000 Average Monthly Fee gallon unit) Bill Current (2025) $47.50 $2.00 $87.79 Initial (2026) $50.35 $2.12 $93.06 2027 $53.35 $2.25 $98.68 2028 $56.50 $2.39 $104.65 Why an Adjustment Is Needed This increase is necessary to: • Keep pace with inflation and rising operation and maintenance costs; • Manage the financial impacts that come with operating as a regulated utility; and • Maintain compliance with environmental regulations. Dry Creek Water Co. has historically prioritized keeping rates low for its customers. While this approach has supported affordability in the early stages of service, it is no longer sustainable in light of our growing responsibilities as a regulated utility. Dry Creek Water Co. remains firmly committed to providing affordable service and maintaining high standards of customer service. What Happens Next Dry Creek Water Company is requesting approval of$1,637,275 in annual revenues as part of its first-ever rate application. The Company's application is subject to public review and a decision by the PUC before it can take effect.
