If one of the major drivers of these costs and electricity utilization is Al data centers, charge them the higher rates and make them pay to upgrade the infrastructure. These costs should not be placed on the shoulders of residential users:' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: David Butterfield Submission Time: Sep 42025 3:16PM Email: diamondsunPcox.net Telephone: 208-720-6740 Address: 109 Westview Ln P.O. Box 65 Ketchum, ID 83340 Name of Utility Company: Idaho Power Case ID: IPC-E-25-1 Comment: "The rate increase requested by Idaho Power is far too much based on the level of service. We should be getting a rate cut instead. And didn't we just give them an increase last year? I have two service issues. 1) 1 collect from our neighbors for a street Light that is on the highway turn-off. The turn-off is difficult to see at night and in snow storms in this more remote pat of the county. The light is very helpful for slowing down and for seeing cars ready to enter the highway. It's been out for a while and we are not getting anywhere with their report-outage/service people. And you can only call--not a mail--so this is difficult to get answers on. When you do connect they ask for unnecessary personal information. Why does Idaho Power need my SS#and birth date? They have all the information they need without that. 2) Our meter is pretty far from the road and mostly inaccessible in winter. It is a mechanical device that needs to be read. We know from the Lack of tracks in the snow no one gets near it from Thanksgiving to Easter. So how does Idaho Power arrive at meter readings and bills? These seem to be guesses based on previous uses which were also guesses. Sometimes we leave for a week and usage goes 1 up (?) Would love to have this looked into. I believe they are not providing basic service in the case of the streetlight, and are predatory in other ways. Please do not grant a rate increase to Idaho Power." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2
