BOISE (Aug. 22, 2025)—The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has scheduled meeting dates and a written comments deadline for Idaho Power Company's application to increase the rates it charges to provide electric service to customers. The utility is seeking commission approval of an overall rate increase of$199.1 million, or 13.09 percent. The utility said the increase is needed to fund energy production and storage resources, grid investments, wildfire resilience, labor and other investments. If the utility's application is approved as filed, the average residential customer using 900 kilowatt hours per month would see a monthly bill increase of about $21.66. Commission staff will hold an online workshop on Friday, Sept. 26, to present an overview of Idaho Power's application and answer questions. The workshop will begin at 6:00 p.m. (MDT) and conclude at 9:00 p.m. or after all questions have been answered, whichever comes first.
