As a customer and member of this community, I strongly oppose this request. Like many families, mine is already struggling to keep up with rising costs of food, housing, and basic necessities due to inflation. A significant increase in electricity rates would put a hardship on our household budget and force us to make difficult choices about other essentials. For many of us, electricity is not a luxury but a necessity—we cannot simply reduce our usage without risking our health, safety, and abilityto work or study at home. It feels especially unfair that the company's top executives are receiving large raises while customers are being asked to shoulder higher bills. At a time when so many families are hurting financially, these priorities seem deeply out of touch with the needs of the community the utility serves. I respectfully urge the Court/Commission to reject this proposed increase or at minimum require the company to demonstrate that every effort has been made to cut internal costs before raising rates on struggling households. Utilities exist to provide a public service, not to enrich executives at the expense of customers who have no choice but to buy from them. Thank you for considering my concerns. NO! Stop selling our power to other states and lower our rates! Idaho power has had several raises without citizens having any say! We cannot afford anymore raises. Most could probably manage a 2-3% increase but this degree of increase is unacceptable. This will severely compromise many seniors and low income citizens. And your 70% increase for meter'rental' is simply ridiculous. A heavy fee and charge to all the builders for installation to all the new homes springing up on every open lot would cover this for the working class people who cannot afford yet another increase in utilities." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: Amber Cnossen Submission Time: Aug 17 2025 8:14PM Email: ambercnossen@gmail.com Telephone: 806-344-3801 Address: 4266 N 2754 E Twin Falls , ID 83301 2 Name of Utility Company: Idaho Power Case ID: IPC-E-25-16 Comment: "IDAHO, I do not agree with increasing the meter charge and I do not agree with the 17.35% rate increase:' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following comment was submitted via PUCWeb: Name: Julie Haycock Submission Time:Aug 18 2025 10:52AM Email:jlhayco@aol.com Telephone: 208-544-8163 Address: 1228 N. Cost of living in Idaho is outpacing wages at a speed that is destroying the lives of Idahoans daily and it is all driven by outside influence moving here and good old boy greed. Further, Idaho residents should not be footing the bill for Idaho Power to provide electricity to other states. Nor for Idaho Power CEO's to further line their already gold gilded pockets:' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3
