Comment: "I question the $73 million for Storage and Energy Resources regarding Battery
Storage Systems because of the short battery life, unreliability, and fires. There are new
battery type becoming available in the near future. Do consider the old idea of pumped
storage, heat storage in molten salts to make steam. Mechanical flywheels are not
practical at scale.
I do suggest spending money to do better with batteries for cyclic storage. We do have an
horrendous history of trying to use batteries for cyclic storage. "
