Comment: "Idaho Power is requesting a rate increase of 17.31%. I believe that this is an
excessive amount and a burden upon its customers. I am on Social Security and have a
Limited income. I don't use a lot of electricity, but my bill is high.The last increase was
4.5%. 1 know costs are increasing, but 17.31%? My income didn't go up 17% 1 agree that
there is a need for Idaho Power to raise its rates, like maybe 10%, but 17% seems
excessive. Also they are raising the residential service charge from $15 to $25 to make it
more "equitable". Well$10 a month may not seem like much but it makes a difference to
people like me compared to someone who makes $100,000! 1 believe that$5 increase
would be fair. Maybe they should do some belt tightening like the government. "
