SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF INTERMOUNTAIN GAS
COMPANY FOR AUTHORITY TO INCREASE ITS RATES AND
CHARGES FOR GAS SERVICE IN THE STATE OF IDAHO; CASE NO.
INT-G-25-02.
On May 30, 2025, Intermountain Gas Company ("Company") applied to the Idaho Public
Utilities Commission ("Commission") requesting authority to increase its rates and charges for
natural gas service in the state of Idaho. The Company proposed an effective date of June 30,2025,
with the understanding that the Commission would likely suspend the proposed effective date. The
Company's Application is structured around an anticipated effective date of January 1, 2026.
On June 13, 2025, the Commission issued a Notice of Application, Notice of Suspension
of Proposed Effective Date, and Notice of Intervention Deadline. Order No. 36639. The
Commission granted intervention to Alliance of Western Energy Consumers and Micron
Technology, Inc. (collectively, "Intervenors"). Order Nos. 36654, 36676. On July 22, 2025, the
Commission issued a Notice of Parties.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Commission Staff("Staff'), Intervenors, and the Company have communicated via email
regarding a proposed procedural schedule for processing this case. Staff recommends the
Commission issue a Scheduling Order establishing:
• August 28, 2025: Virtual Public Workshop conducted by Staff
• October 9, 2025: Staff and Intervenor Written Testimony
• November 5, 2025: Company Rebuttal Testimony

• November 18, 2025: Technical Hearing starting at 9:00 a.m. (MST)and ending at
5:00 p.m.
• November 19, 2024: Technical Hearing continued as needed starting at 9:00 a.m.
(MST) and ending at 5:00 p.m.
Staff also recommends that the Commission issue an order setting the time, date, and
location of any customer hearings as determined by the Commission.
