SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF AVISTA CORPORATION'S APPLICATION FOR
AN ORDER AUTHORIZING ACCOUNTING AND RATEMAKING
TREATMENT OF COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH INVESTMENT IN AN
ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLATFORM; CASE NOS. AVU-E-25-06;
AVU-G-25-04.
On July 1, 2025, Avista Corporation ("Company") applied for an order authorizing
proposed accounting and ratemaking treatment related to Avista's investment in an Enterprise
Resource Platform (`ERP"). The ERP centralizes key business areas—like finance, HR, supply
chain, and customer service—into a single system. According to the Company, this allows for
real-time data and insights, increased efficiency, better decision-making, and improved
coordination. The Company requests its application be processed by Modified Procedure with a
final order issued by October 1, 2025.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified
Procedure establishing a September 3, 2025, public comment deadline, and a September 17,
2025, Company reply deadline.
