Comment: "Hello,
I would like to formally object to RMP On-Site Generation net metering proposal!
I believe that it is not in the best interest of the Public Utility Commission to grant RMP's
request to lower the net metering rate for individuals who have invested in providing clean
energy for themselves and for the grid! It is short sighted to penalize those who have made
an effort to reduce their carbon footprint, as for RMP's claim that solar production is unfair
to those who do not utilize Solar, I would suggest they consider the increased rates that
they have already imposed upon all users on the grid! The additional infusion of solar
energy into the grid is a positive move forward and should be encouraged!
We must look to the future and make certain all available sources of clean energy are
incorporated into our long term strategy!This benefits all parties and enables us to move
forward to securing a energy rich future for everyone in our beautiful state!
Since moving into our home in February of 2018, the charge for Basic Single Phase has
increased from $5.00 to $20.75 or over 300%.
Please do not allow this negative action to move forward! We should be encouraging clean
energy not discouraging its incorporation into our energy future!
