Comment: "I oppose the proposed rate hike. Idaho powerjust undercut the private solar
generators by stating that the cost of power to purchase has become significantly cheaper.
Now they are stating the the cost of power to produce to its customers is increasing.The
company cannot have it both ways. Power is either expensive or it is cheap. If it is so cheap
then Idaho power doesn't need to improve their grid or make updates and can just
purchase the power from other companies.
They are asking for their customer base to pay for"new cool tech"when we didnt ask for
that. Allow home owners to chose to purchase smart meters. They need to foot the cost of
their equipment or ask the state to step in to cover the cost of maintaining the obstacles
around power lines.
In the end Idaho power wants to sale the power they make in Idaho to other states and we
pay for it? No they can charge a higher rate to the states that are purchasing power from
Idaho.Then maybe Idaho power can cover their own costs of maintaining their own
equipment. Let the out of state buyers pay for the increases when that is truley where the
power is going.
Make California, Oregon, and Washington foot the bill for the increase in demand they want
Idaho to cover."

Comment: "The increase that IPC is asking for is way too much. Everything in this valley is
getting out of control please do not approve such a drastic increase, it is hard enough on
people to make it now let alone 17% and an extra $10.00 on the bottom line of the power
bill. Why are the big corporations not paying more and the homeowners less... they use way
more than the general public... please vote this down!"
