19 Avista Corporation, doing business as Avista Utilities (hereinafter "Avista" or
20 "Company"), at 1411 East Mission Avenue, Spokane, Washington, hereby petitions the Idaho
21 Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") to intervene as a party to this proceeding under
22 the Commission's Rule of Procedure, Rule 71, IDAPA 31.01.01.071.

1 2. Avista is an electric utility in the State of Idaho engaged in generating, purchasing,
2 transmitting, and distributing electric energy and providing retail electric service. The subject
3 matter and outcome of this proceeding is directly applicable to and will affect Avista and its
4 ability to provide retail electric service in Idaho.
5 3. Avista has a direct and substantial interest in this proceeding given the outcome will
6 affect the manner or means of participating in the lawful determination of issues which may
7 affect the timing for filing and the process for review and approval of its Wildfire Mitigation
8 Plan. Avista's interests cannot be represented by any other parry to this proceeding.
9 WHEREFORE, Avista respectfully requests that the Commission grant this Petition to
10 Intervene in this proceeding
