On May 29, 2025, Intermountain Sewer and Water, Corp. ("Company") filed an application ("Application") with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") requesting a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity ("CPCN") authorizing it to provide water service in and around the Mayfield Spring Planned Community in Elmore County, Idaho. The Company also requests authority from the Commission to charge an interim rate for service. The Company requests its Application be processed by Modified Procedure. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Commission Staff ("Staff") believes the Commission should address the Company's requests for a CPCN in the present case and the Company's rate request in a separate case. Accordingly, Staff recommends that the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified Procedure establishing a 21-day deadline for initial comments and a subsequent 7-day Company reply comment deadline on the Company's Application for a CPCN. Staff further recommends that the Commission open a new docket and transfer the Company's request to establish interim rates to that docket,where it will be processed following issuance of a final order in this case.
